About Us

X-PM Singapore was established in 2007, to cover South-East Asia and Australia/New Zealand. The business is led by Jean-Louis Michelet, Gerard Pennefather and Jay Kostos.

Combined with the two other units of the WIL Group based in China and India, X-PM Singapore provides global corporate clients with seamless coverage in Asia-Pacific. A local and regional talent pool has been developed, made up of senior executives with strong backgrounds in diverse industries and disciplines, but also with in-depth experience of Asia.

Singapore is the main gateway to the high-potential markets of Asia-Pacific, attracting companies from all over the world and from all sectors. However, to take advantage of the many business opportunities in the region, these companies need to address a number of challenges in relation to the variety of cultures, languages, economic development levels and business environments. X-PM Singapore’s Transition Management solutions are immediate, efficient, cost-effective responses to these challenges.

Over the years, successful projects have been conducted in various countries in the region (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia) and various industries (manufacturing, services, infrastructure, oil & gas, FMCG, finance).

Case Study - SportsHub Pte Ltd

Singapore's SportsHub is the largest Public-Private Partnership sports facilities project in the world. It is a $1.1 billion integrated sports, lifestyle and entertainment complex that is open to the public.

SportsHub Pte Ltd, the company in charge of running the complex was supposed to sub-contract the various functions, from venue management to marketing, from maintenance to IT, to a number of specialized operators. It was therefore faced with the daunting task of coordinating many business partners sharing complex processes. In this context, SportsHub decided to strengthen its management structure during the construction phase to ensure it was fully prepared before it opened in June 2014, and asked X-PM to provide two transition managers, the Chief Technical Officer and the Vice President of Revenue Performance.

The CTO’s role was to ensure that all IT processes would be properly aligned to the business processes. The VP, Revenue Performance's role was to promote the generation of commercial revenues in addition to the usage fees paid by the Singapore government.

SportsHub cited speed, flexibility and cost-efficiency as the key reasons for seeking X-PM's help. It was imperative for the X-PM transition managers to hit the ground running, and to possess not only the hard skills but also the soft skills required to take on their challenging roles.

The CTO mission lasted for 21 months and the VPRP mission for 12 months. Both were highly successful. The Singapore SportsHub opened its doors to the public in June 2014.
